    Today, a lot of companies are having a difficult time finding the right employees to fill open positions. It seems like workers have a lot of power today, and companies need to find a way to set themselves apart from the other players in their industry if they want to convince the top talent in the field to sign a contract with them. One of the ways to create a positive company culture is to take company outings from time to time. That is exactly something that Derrick May and Optimum Energy Partners has been able to do as of late.

    Outings for Food and Games

    There are a lot of companies that are wondering where to start with company outings. One of the ways to do so is to simply arrange a trip to a nice restaurant that the company will pay for. For example, Derrick and his team recently took a trip to The Puttery. This is an indoor mini-golf course that encourages some friendly competition and is great even for those without a lot of athleticism. Of course, there is also a great restaurant here for people to chat and get to know one another a bit better.

    Baseball Games Are Great for Building Relationships

    Another significant benefit of company outings is that they can build relationships. One great way to do so is to attend baseball games. For example the Optimum Energy Partners team have gone to both NY Yankees baseball games and Texas Rangers baseball games. Baseball games are great because they are fun for people who like sports, but also provide fun opportunities for those who don’t. Many baseball stadiums have interesting attractions and exhibits, and the game is not that loud. This means people can still chat and have fun at the game. When team members get to know each one another better, they will have an easier time working together on major company projects.

    Host Travel Adventures

    Finally, it might also be a good idea to have a offer free trips from time to time. These are not necessarily trips that everyone gets to go on, but they are trips that are given to employees when they do well. For example they recently took a trip to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. This was an amazing adventure that rewarded employees and team members for all of their hard work. The islands are a beautiful place to kick back, relax, and enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean.

    Use Company Outings To Build Company Culture

    Obviously, there are plenty of ways for companies to create a positive company culture, but one of the ways to do so is through company outings. This is a great opportunity for businesses to encourage their employees and managers to get to know each other a bit better, which can make a significant difference in the productivity of the office. If companies are able to follow in their footsteps with strong company outings, they will have an easier time attracting some of the most talented employees in their field.
