    Kinds of Dental Emergencies

Below are common kinds of dental emergencies that anyone can experience:

    • Teeth and gum damage. Damaged gums are a type of soft tissue injury that can occur when you are involved in an accident. They are common in slip and fall accidents and car accidents. Usually, teeth can be damaged when there is a crack, chip, or break on them. Some soft tissue injuries may require a visit to an emergency dentist, while others may require a visit to the emergency room.

A tooth that loses protection due to a removed filling or crown can be exposed to infection. Thus, the protection must be replaced as soon as possible. A lost adult tooth is a permanent loss. Because your mouth can only be fully healthy when it has a complete set of teeth, missing teeth must be replaced right away.
    • Toothache. Serious toothache can be a sign of different dental issues, and the cause must be identified to treat it properly. Toothaches can occur because of pulp infections or when something is stuck between your teeth. If your tooth pain is persistent and quite intense, you should visit an emergency dentist.
