The morning air in the UK has become a bit more crisp, and thoughts have turned from summer travel to autumn nesting. The to-do list has been made, and it includes old favourites, new adventures and cozy sweaters. What’s on your list for this wonderful time of year?
I’ll be watching the leaves in England turn their brilliant shades of gold and red…
I’ll be wearing luscious burgundy lipstick by Lorac…

I’ll be looking for the perfect sweater…

I’ll be taking the cozy blankets out of storage to snuggle under, while I watch football on television…

And I’ll finally be learning how to make Julia Child’s boeuf bourguignon.

A very happy autumn to all!

oh man. beef bourguignon. ive been waiting for cooler temps just to bring this recipe out of storage! that picture looks amazingly good.
Great minds do think alike!
I love your list. For me, fall brings with it raking and bagging quite a few leaves (3 huge maples in front of my home), but I love caring for the place that brings me so much security and comfort. I too love the coming on of football season (American football
) and the crunching of the leaves beneath my feet on walks. The ability to wear layers and having fun with fashion is also a treat.
DeeAnne, it is always good hearing from you. Here’s to September being a beautiful peek at an amazing season of fantastic surprises.
Autumn is so magical. We owned an apple orchard on 9 acres for part of my childhood. The smell of apples was in the air, they were the juiciest, the cider the very best. To this day, the smell of apples picks me up, whisks me away & drops me back to autumn in the orchard.
You make me smile! I hope all is well with you…..to fall and football season.
Autumn is such a cozy and sexy season. It begs to be savored…long walks in the crisp fall air…apple pies made from scratch…cuddle weather…cashmere comes out again. So much to enjoy!
Mmmmm – what delicious ideas! There is nothing better than snuggling in under a cozy blanket. Especially after a meal like boeuf bourguignon. I just watched Julie & Julia again – that’s another good rainy afternoon under the blankets film!
Your list is fantabulous! I’m adding apple picking and baking with cranberries. Perfection!
